The Health Officer investigates health complaints, inspects schools and daycares for State licensing programs, works with property owners on various issues and performs health inspections on homes applying for general assistance from the Town. The Health Officer is state-appointed upon the recommendation of the Board of Selectmen. The Health Officer works closely with the NH Department of Health and Human Services on a variety of health matters.
