There were no Workers Compensation claims to review. Discussion followed on the need for each department to submit the required forms to the JLMC for review. Gylene provided the forms to those in attendance. Gylene will also email the forms to department heads.

Gylene briefed the JLMC on the upcoming state inspection being done on all town facilities on October 19, 2009. Discussion followed on each department being responsible to make sure that employee work zones are safe and free of clutter, loose wires and that the emergency escape routes are posted. Also discussed were the need to dispose of chairs with only 4 wheels as they are unsafe and the personal use of heaters within the town office building. All buildings also need to make sure that their MDS sheets are up to date for the products at their locations. A lengthy discussion followed on the inspection and the JLMC felt that the inspection should just occur and then address items that are concerning. It was determined that all departments should address all issues that are obvious.

Jeff briefed the JLMC on the fine that the Water & Sewer Department received for their recent violation.
