Present: Beth Colby, Barbara Greenwood, Gerry Gagnon, Steve Favorite, Leslie Dion
Parade: The parade will start at 10:30 am at FNOK and the theme will be the “Spirit of the Four Seasons”. Joe contacted the Muchachos and they are going to get back to him. Barb called the American Legion Post 49 Drill Team Color Guard from Northfield. She spoke with Joe Newton and he will let her know if they are available by May 12th. They would lead the parade if they come. Joe is contacting the Andover One Wheelers. He is also trying to get the Shriners Mini Bike Patrol. We already have the Bektash Band. Joe said he will also check on the Shriners Drum & Bugle Corp. He spoke with Mike O’Malley at the High School about having the HS band and Mike will follow up on this. Beth said she would speak with the Band Leader.
Floats: Joe ran into an article about a company that does parade balloons. He will check on this. Beth said that she knows a company that has the jumping machine, climbing wall and gyro machine. She will check with them on costs. The TTCC is going to try to do a synchronized noodle marching group.
Bingo: We need to check with the Fire Company and see if they are interested in doing this.
Skate park: There will be elements at the park by then and Beth will see if the kids want to do something that day.
Kids Activities: Beth said that she and Donna Quinn have spoken about having some set activities. We were told that Fish & Game has a fake firing range and a walk through tractor trailer with their info. They also have a fish pond truck where kids can feed the fish. They are working on getting that type of stuff instead this year. She also wants to see if the National Guard will bring their obstacle course.
Parking: We need to designate parking with signs. We will need to decide where to put the Touch a Truck.
Crafter App: Les will follow up with Claire regarding getting this out.
Lobster / Chicken Supper: Joe said that his son-in-law, David has some suggestions on how to make the line run more efficiently. We discussed going with a 4:30 and 6 pm seating and doing two lines. If we have to use the other side of the park Les suggested we might be able to use the Lion’s Club trailer as our kitchen. It would be great if we could have the NMMS cafeteria available in case of rain.
Entertainment: We discussed having entertainment from noon-4 pm.
Other: We need to ask Chief Clark if he could get anything like the seat belt safety demo. We should think about what to do at 1:30 pm to kick off the events at the park. Steve suggests asking Dead River if we could use their parking lot for touch a truck. Also asking First Student if we can use their parking lot for all staff and crafter cars. Joe has spoken with Marla regarding the pony rides and she is interested in doing this again. Joe said that Scott Haskell can help with the lay-out of the park.
Next Meetings: May 21st at 9 am.
