Community Development Block Grant Application

The Town of Bristol, Board of Selectmen, will hold three consecutive public hearings on April 29, 2010, at 6:00PM at Bristol Old Town Hall at Summer Street in Bristol to hear public comment on a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for sewer extension to Newfound Lake, know as the Newfound Lake Area Water Quality Management Project grant application proposal to the NH Community Development Finance Authority (CDFA).  Up to $500,000 annually is available on a competitiveness basis for housing/public facilities, economic development and emergency activities that directly benefit low and moderate income persons.  Up to $12,000 is available for feasibility study grants.  The proposal to be heard includes:

A proposed sewer extension to Newfound Lake grant for up to $500,000 in CDBG funds. The funds will be used to extend the existing sewer infrastructure to Newfound Lake, upgrade existing wastewater infrastructure as necessary, constructing seven new pump stations and completing select wastewater treatment plant improvements.
Review and Adoption or Re-adoption of the Bristol Housing and Community Development Plan.
Review and Adoption of the Bristol Residential Antidisplacement and Relocation Plan.
