PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE ON ISSUANCE OF BONDS
TOWN OF BRISTOL

                       The Bristol Board of Selectmen will hold a PUBLIC HEARING on Thursday evening, February 18, 2010 at 6:00 PM at the Town Office, 230 Lake Street, to consider and discuss the following articles placed on the upcoming March Annual Town Meeting Warrant to be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010. 

MINOT – SLEEPER LIBRARY PROJECT
ARTICLE
To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of one million, seven hundred forty thousand, eight hundred ninety – seven dollars ($1,740,897) to build an addition to the library and renovate the existing library building, and to authorize the issuance of not more than the amount of one million, seven hundred forty thousand, eight hundred ninety-seven dollars ($1,740,897) of bonds or notes in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Finance Act (RSA 33) and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to issue and negotiate such bonds or notes and to determine the rate of interest thereon.  The first bond payment will be included in the 2011 budget.

NEWFOUND LAKE AREA WATER QUALITY PROJECT
ARTICLE
To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of twenty-eight million dollars ($28,000,000.) for the purpose of constructing sanitary sewer lines to the southern end of Newfound Lake, a portion of which is to be raised through the issuance of bonds or notes under and in compliance with the Municipal Finance Act, RSA 33:1 et seq., as amended; to authorize the Selectmen to apply for, obtain and accept federal, state or other aid, if any , which may be available for said project and to comply with all laws applicable to said project; to authorize the Selectmen to issue, negotiate, sell and deliver said bonds and notes and to determine the rate of interest thereon and the maturity and other terms thereof; and to authorize the Selectmen to take any other action or to pass any other vote relative thereto.
