The Mission of the Bristol Fire Department is to provide All-Hazards response that, combined with planning, education, collaboration, and communication, will improve the quality of life of its customers and community.
With the COVID-19 Pandemic still a matter of concern, we are encouraging property owners to obtian fire permits through the online portal. Click the link below to be taken to the NH Online Fire Permitting site:
Permits must be printed and signed to be valid. They are also $3 each (the fee for the payment vendor)
If you would like a permit emailed to you, and have the ability to print, you may do the following:
Send a request to firstname.lastname@example.org
- your full name
- address/location of fire
- type of permit (seasonal/same as last year or brush)
- phone number
- email address
- A permit will be emailed within 48 hours, and will need to be printed and signed.
***Category I and II permits are issued for the season. Category III (brush) permits are issued for the date range on the permit. Check website or Fire Station for current Fire Weather daily!***

Message From the Fire Chief
Welcome to the Bristol Fire Department! The members of the department are honored to be able to serve our great community. Over the years the department has worked to adapt to the changing environment, requirements, and needs of our citizens and become a truly all-hazards response organization. You have some of the best trained and professional employees at your Fire Department. The department's apparatus fleet is modern and maintained daily. In addition to the various tools and equipment the department has to mitigate fire, medical, and rescue emergencies, we have put this site together as another tool to help us serve you better: to learn more about your Fire Department, and to find the information that you are looking for.
Whether you are looking for an inspection, information on fire permits, or a CPR class, you can access that information here, along with so much more. Of course if you still need assistance we are always happy to see you at the Fire Station or talk to you on the phone.
Thank You for your continued support and the role you play in helping us keep our community safe and a better place to live.
Ben LaRoche, Fire Chief
