Master Plan - REVISIONS IN PROGRESS
The Bristol Planning Board is in the beginning stages of reviewing and updating the Town’s Master Plan. The process of updating each chapter will occur over the next few years.
Bristol’s Master Plan has six (6) chapters as follows:
- Vision - Updated and Adopted in 2022
- Land Use - Work has begun in 2022 and will continue once the 2022 Community Survey is complete
- Downtown Improvement Plan – this chapter may be renamed Economic Development and encompass more than just the downtown area.
- Population and Housing
- Conservation & Preservation of Natural Resources Section – may rename as Natural Resources Management.
- Historic Resources Section– was last updated in 2018 and may need little work.
- Recreation Section – last survey referenced is 2005. Our most recent survey was in 2018. It is time to conduct another survey, that the Planning Board is working on.
