Charter Commission Warrant Article

The ability to self-govern is a founding concept of our country. The Select Board is asking voters in March to vote on a warrant article on the the Tuesday, March 9 Town Meeting voting session if you want to create a Charter Commission to study and, possibly, recommend a new form of local government rooted in home rule.

Economic Development Committee Vice Chair Bruce Dorner sat down with Tom Caldwell and Rick Alpers who proposed the idea to the Select Board. The article includes a link to a 30-minute video explaining what the Select Board is asking the voters.
