RFP for Fiber-Optic Network Released

The Town of Bristol has been planning to construct a fiber-optic network for three-plus years. With two grants now in hand, the Town is releasing a Request for Proposals to construct a high speed internet system that delivers a minimum 100mb synchronous service with 1 gig available. The service will for businesses, municipal and school buildings and residences who need fast, reliable internet for everyday operations, home needs, telework, telemedicine, distance learning, and research. The chosen company must have the project built, operatational and tested by December 15, 2020.
