WHAT’S YOUR SIGN?

This information is provided to you by the Land Use Department

Ever wonder about those small signs that you see stuck in the ground as you travel through Bristol, or posted on trees or utility poles promoting an off-site business?  Well, we here in the Land Use Department do.  In fact, most of these signs are NOT allowed per the Zoning Ordinance and as such, the Land Use Department will notify the business being promoted on the sign that they must be removed.  If the signs are not removed within a reasonable amount of time given, the Town will remove them.  Now, there are some exemptions to this, so it’s important to check the Zoning Guidelines before placing an off-premise sign or reach out to the Land Use Department at 603-744-3354 and we’d be happy to assist!
